Velma Burrus, 94, of LaCenter, passed away at 2:29 AM Wednesday at Southgate
Health Center in Metropolis.  She was a loving mother and wonderful mother-in-law;
an independent person who asked for help from nobody but wanted to help everyone.
She attended Highway 45 Church of Christ in Metropolis.

She is survived by two daughters, Kay Graves (Bill) of Kevil and Colleen Robinson
(Tommy) of Paducah; two grandchildren, Randy Robinson (Sue Ann) of Paducah and
Sheila Robinson Hawkins (Steven) of Calvert City; one brother, Aaron Wallace (Betty)
of Yates City, IL; and five great grandchildren; Benn Wilson of West Palm, FL, Chris
Wilson of Gainesville, FL, John Robinson of Richmond, KY, Stephanie Robinson of
Nashville, TN, Karen Goggans (Andrew) of Kansas City, MO, and several nieces and
nephews.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Charles H. Burrus, one grandson, Tom D.
Robinson, two brothers, Clarence & James Wallace, and 3 sisters, Zelphia Wilson,
Essie Giltner and Emma Pryor.

Funeral services were at 2:00 PM Saturday at
Jones Funeral Home of LaCenter with
Rev. Arnold Puckett officiating.  Burial was in Needmore/Providence Cemetery,
located on KY473 at Ogden Colvin Rd, Ballard County, KY.
