Jimmy Lee Carter, 63 of Lone Oak, passed away at 11:35 PM Sunday at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Carter was a native of Ballard County, a graduate of Ballard Memorial High School, Class of 1961, and a
member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a surveyor and worked on several of the large construction projects
that brought industry to West Kentucky. An avid hunter and fisherman, loving father and devoted husband,
Jimmy Carter was active and interested in the growth of his family and will be sadly missed my all those whose
lives he so enriched.
Surviving are his wife, Dianne Stone Carter of Lone Oak; one son, Brian Carter and his wife Bonnie of Benton;
his mother, Meldrea Jennings Carter Grable of LaCenter; two brothers, Frank Carter and his wife Peggy of
LaCenter, and Ronnie Carter of La Center; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orvel Gibson Carter.
Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery, 12245
Woodville Rd, Kevil, KY. with Rev. Keith Tilford officiating. Visitation was from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, April 3 at Jones
Funeral Home in LaCenter
Memorial gifts may be made I his name to the American Lung Association, PO Box 9067, Louisville, KY 40209

comments = Dearest Dianne, Brian, Karen, Ronnie, SHelley, Kari, Kristi and all, we send our love and prayers at
this time to you all. We loved Jimmy very much. John remembers all the many, many times he and Jimmy hunted
together, and he remembers when Brian was born! I even remember a couple of times when John and I were first
together that Jimmy took us bird hunting. We will miss him. John was very sad that he has left the earth, but we
know that he is with Jesus, and we pray for you all.
