Bobby Cavanaugh
1933 - 2007
Bobby Cavanaugh, 73 of Grand Rivers, formerly of LaCenter, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Friday,
May 4, 2007 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.  Mr. Cavanaugh retired from Ballard Rural
Telephone Coop and was a professional photographer.  He was a veteran and a member of
First Baptist Church of LaCenter. He will be remembered as a Boy Scout leader and for
operating the first community bus service in the area.  Mr. Cavanaugh was a kind and fun loving
person who loved to tell and trade stories with his friends and family; he loved being on the lake
and was an avid fisherman.  He also loved to hunt and took great pleasure in his gun collection.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Doreen Webber Cavanaugh of Grand Rivers; one daughter,
Linda Smith (Lyle) of Ledbetter; and two sons, Paul Cavanaugh (Vicky) of Virginia Beach,
Virginia and Steve Cavanaugh (Kelly) of Wickliffe.  He will be missed by six grandchildren,
Angela (David) Mathis, Eric Wilson, Rhonda (Andrew) Harned, Meghan Cavanaugh, Matt
Cavanaugh and Caitlin Cavanaugh.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Cavanaugh, a brother Al Clayton, and his
parents, Noble Cavanaugh and Bertha Tiner Cavanaugh.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at
Jones Funeral Home of LaCenter.  
Burial was in LaCenter Cemetery.
