Wanda Burks Whitaker Fetty, 75 of Paducah, passed away at 2:45 PM Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.
Wanda was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and a former member of the Paducah Garden Club. She loved the out doors and raised lovely flowers and houseplants. She was an avid fisherman and was often teased that she should tell people that she lived on Kentucky Lake.
She is survived by one daughter, Robin Whitaker Carman of Reidland; one son, Michael Whitaker of Ledbetter; two sisters, Bobby Chrystler of Benton and Dortha Copeland of Tucson, Arizona; five grandchildren, Jessica Baker, Cory, Max and Lyndsey Carman, and Taressa Morton; four great grandchildren, Alleyah & Lyndsey Baker and Britney & Alexis Morton.
Mrs. Fetty was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard “Butch” Whitaker; her second husband, Jack Fetty; and one brother, Allen Young. Her parents were Amos and Jessie Allen Burks.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2007 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6965 Old US Hwy 45, Paducah, KY with Rev. Ronny Hopkins and Rev. Wayne Carter officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made in her name to the McCracken County Humane Society, PO Box 212, Paducah, KY 42002.
