Dorothy Jones, 87 of LaCenter, passed away at 9:40 PM Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in LaCenter.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Louise Rogers (Carl) of Urbana, Illinois; one son, James M. Jones of LaCenter; one brother, Kendall Thomas of Oscar; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Jones Senior and one grandson, Lynn Hargrove. Her parents were Leo E. Thomas and Dorothy Lovelace Thomas.
Funeral services were at 2:00 PM Monday, Feb. 12 at Jones Funeral Home of LaCenter with Rev. Franklin Stone officiating. Burial was in LaCenter City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00 AM Monday until the funeral hour.
Memorials in her name may take the form of donations to His House Cooperative Ministries, 300 Kentucky Drive, LaCenter, KY 42056.
