Richard W. “Dick” Moss, 82 of Lone Oak, formerly of LaCenter, passed away at 2:18 PM Monday, August 6, 2007, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
Richard was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII; he was retired from Union Carbide; and was employed by Modine Manufacturing Company. He was a member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather; he was “Grand Pa” to everyone.
Surviving are his daughter, Melanie Ann Clapp of Lone Oak and one grandson, Jonathan Clapp of Lone Oak. His wife, Sue Simpson Moss and one brother, Ellis Moss, preceded him in death. His parents were Clarence Moss and Lillie Ellis Moss.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 10, at LaCenter Cemetery with Rev. Rick Dye officiating. Visitation was Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 at Jones Funeral Home of LaCenter.
