Alice Evelyn Elrod Stevens, 89 of LaCenter, died at 4:30 AM Tuesday, December 05, 2006 at
Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
She was a member of LaCenter First Baptist Church; and she and her husband founded Stevens
Chevrolet Company in February of 1960.
Surviving are one son, Clyde Ralph Stevens and his wife Anne; one granddaughter, Kim Terrell and
her husband Jackie; one grandson, Kent Stevens and his wife Lisa; two great grandsons, Zach
Stevens and Dylan Nichols; and one great granddaughter, Kala Stevens, all of LaCenter; one
step-great granddaughter, Nicolette Barton and her husband Andy of Elgin, IL; one great-great
granddaughter, Mia Barton of Elgin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Stevens. Her parents were Clyde and Lala Elrod.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 7, 2006 at Jones Funeral Home with
Rev. Mark Bond officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
