Georgia Lea Dennis Wiggins, 89 of Barlow, passed away at 3:45 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Lourdes
Hospital of Paducah.

Mrs. Wiggins was a member of LaCenter United Methodist Church, M.A.D.D., and the Kentucky Retired Teacher’s
Association.  She taught at LaCenter Elementary School and at the last one room school in Ballard County.  She
was a devoted mother, sister and wife who believed in the benefits of a healthy diet and the simple country way of
life.  She was a proud American and wrote regularly to the President and her congressmen in support of our rights
under the constitution and against a global economy.  She resisted the technological revolution: she never owned
a touch-tone or cell phone and never sat down in front of a computer. She is remembered by her granddaughters
for her love and support, for living true to her convictions, for the joy in life that she displayed is song and dance,
and that she never, ever wore slacks.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph D. Wiggins (Lori Henderson Wiggins) of Paducah, and three
granddaughters, Carla Pobst (Eric) of Paducah, Kelly Groves (Adam) of Seminole, FL, and Ashley Wiggins of
Louisville.

Her husband of 62 years, Joseph J. Wiggins, and three brothers, Allenby Dennis, Herschel Dennis, and Goebel
Dennis preceded her in death.  Her parents were Alex Dennis and Nancy Beardsley Dennis.

Funeral Services were Friday, October 12 at 10:00 AM at
Jones Funeral Home of LaCenter with Br. Don Pippin
officiating.  Father Pat Reynolds said prayers at 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call
from 5 until 8 PM. Burial was in Barlow Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd.
Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034, or to your local Relay for Life Chapter.
