Martha Lou Burnley Wolfe Wilson 1919 - 2007

Martha Lou Burnley Wolfe, 87 of Kevil, passed away at 8:55 AM Monday, April 23, 2007 at
“The Manor” at Elfindale Skilled Care in Springfield, Missouri. Mrs. Wolfe was a lifelong
member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She attended Murray Teacher’s College and taught
at Bandana and Forestdale Elementary Schools. She later worked for and retired from the
KY Department of Human Services.
She is survived by three daughters: Jane Glisson of Future City, and Carol Coryell (Samuel)
and Elizabeth Miller (Jim) of Springfield, Missouri; one son Bill Wolfe (Ivonne) of Louisville;
one sister, Betty Burnley Sullivan of Daleville, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Bill Glisson, John
Glisson, Samuel Coryell, David Coryell, Daniel Coryell, Sara Buchanan, Lauren Miller,
Alexandra Wolfe, Laura Wolfe; and Philip Wolfe; and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Wolfe; her second husband,
Stanley Wilson; son-in-law, William Glisson; and one brother, Jack Burnley. Her parents were
James M. Burnley and Lillian Ragland Burnley.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April26, 2007 at Jones Funeral Home of
LaCenter with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
