Juanita Knight, 88 of Kevil, passed away at 9:35 PM Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Parkview Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.
Born February 26, 1919 in East Cairo, Kentucky, Mrs. Knight was employed as a traveling saleswoman for
Klasneur’s Hosiery in Paducah and was instrumental in the development and evolution of women’s hosiery in
the early 20th Century. She was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ.
She is survived by one grandson, Keith Knight of Kevil (Kellye); one sister, Cledia Dunn of LaCenter; one
brother, Rufus Gentry of Jackson, Michigan; three grandchildren, Adrian Sutton, Cody Knight and Jonathan
Knight; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Thomas Knight and one son, Kent Knight. Her parents
were George and Ottie Pool Gentry.
Funeral Services were at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Jones Funeral Home, 449 N. Wyatt Ave. in
Kevil with Brother Larry Harris officiating. Burial was in Barlow Cemetery.
