Walter “Butch” Wagner, 60, passed away at 6:30 PM Thursday, April 10, 2008 at his home in LaCenter. He was a
former resident of Barlow.
Mr. Wagner, a loving father and husband, held a Master of Western Rivers License and worked for various river
industry companies. He was a dedicated public servant, serving as a volunteer Fireman for the City of Barlow and
by his efforts to get a Rescue Squad for Ballard County.
His is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frieda O’Dell Wagner of LaCenter; three sons, David Goin of Ledbetter,
Darryl Bomar of Paducah, and Walter J. Wagner of Paducah; two daughters, Dawn Bergeron of Barlow & Buffy
Lowery of LaCenter; one sister, Jetta Wagner of South Carolina; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
One son, William Bomar, and his parents, Walter E. Wagner and Clara Dodson Wagner, preceded him in death.
Memorial Gifty may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN
38105-1942.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
